Well, here we are. Yep. It's the first blog post of 2009.
There isn't much to say because I am still in "holiday" mode. However, I have been using some of my recent down time to think about a new blogging idea that I will share with you now.
As you may know, 3r Living recycles batteries, CD's, ink cartridges, etc. in our Brooklyn and Maplewood stores. Pretty regularly, while packing the recycling up for shipment, I find amusing items in the bins which bring a smile to my face. For years I have only shared my amusement with Samantha and our store employees. Now, though, I think it's time for you all to get in on the joke.
So, starting next week, I will post a photo of a unique, strange, unusual or funny item that has been dropped at one of our stores for recycling. I'm not sure what day the post will appear on but I'm guessing it will be Wednesday.
Stay tuned, I already have some good photos to share!
Have a great weekend!

Maybe you can help me with this...I'm assuming when you say you recycle batteries that you mean typical household batteries, and I'm wondering what people who live in the middle of nowhere can do with their disposables. I have a pile of batteries that I refuse to throw away, and it's driving my husband nuts. Do you have to send them somewhere, or is there a specific kind of recycling center you have to take them to? I regularly ask around and no one seems to know, which means that all of their batteries are hitting the landfills. Grrr.
Circular Logic: Have you tried doing a search on Earth911.com?
Actually, no, not for battery recycling. I need to bookmark that page, because I always forget about it. Thanks!
Just saw this but it looks like it was taken care of. Thanks Green Cat!
