That's right, we are opening a second store!
You know, people have been asking us "Do you have other store locations?" and "When are you opening a second store?" since the day we opened our Brooklyn store, back in 2004. We always felt like we needed to wait until our Brooklyn store was settled and strong before expanding. Plus, we had the challenge of Baby Jake (and what a challenge it was/is!).
Well, on Saturday, October 6th, we will finally open our second store. The location? 147 Maplewood Avenue in Maplewood, New Jersey.
Why Maplewood and not Manhattan or another Brooklyn location? Well, the truth is that a lot of our old Park Slope, Brooklyn neighbors have moved to Maplewood over the past few years. Plus, Maplewood is a great little town that supports small businesses and understands the importance of being green. We think we'll fit in great there!
Anyway, here are some photos of the town and the store from August, before we started the construction process. I'll post more photos as we set the store up this week!
