Attacks on Gore

I guess it was as easy to predict as the sun rising in the morning. The conservative press has taken to poking holes in Al Gore's green lifestyle as a way to discredit An Inconvenient Truth .

Back on August 10th, Peter Schweizer, a Research Fellow at the conservative Hoover Institution (which is partially funded by ExxonMobil) attacked Gore's personal environmental practices in USA Today. In the piece, entitled Gore isn't quite as green as he's led the world to believe , Schweitzer uncovered a number of disturbing allegations which make Gore look like a typical "do as I say, not as I do" politician. I originally saw this article while scanning the Drudge Report and was somewhat concerned that the blogosphere was silent in Gore's defense. It looks like that silence is over.

Check out The Conscious Earth's point-by-point rebuttal here .

Speaking of Global Warming (oops, I meant the Climate Crisis), I am growing concerned with the movement's heavy reliance on Hurricane data. This year's hurricane season has started off slow and may turn out to be average to below average when all is said and done (thank God). Conservative blogs and newspapers are having a field day comparing An Inconvenient Truth's hurricane-related imagery with the results of the storm season, thus far.

There must be a better way to sell all of this to the public. Then again, who am I to judge? I still haven't seen the movie.
